We understand that you're seeking peace in the presence of someone you care about. First, we want to remind you that peace comes from God alone, as the Bible tells us, "For God is not a God of confusion, but of peace." (1 Corinthians 14:33 WEB)
However, we notice that Jesus Christ is not mentioned in the request or that you are not praying in Jesus' name. This is extremely important because the Bible tells us:
"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," (1 Tim. 2:5,WEB)
"For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved." (Romans 10:13,WEB)
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life." (John 3:16,WEB)
In addition, we want to make sure that this relationship aligns with biblical principles. Are you both Christians seeking to glorify God in your relationship? Are you considering marriage or is this simply a worldly relationship? Are you looking for a spouse or just a partner? If your relationship does not align with God's will, we urge you to reconsider the path you're on. It is also important to note whether you are married or not. If not, are you considering marriage? Since you are having trouble being at peace with this person, then it may be God telling you that this is not the right person.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ to lift up our brother/sister. We pray that you grant him/her, as well as us, a spirit of discernment to understand your will for our relationships. We ask for your peace that everyone needs. But, we are told to pray in Jesus name and believe Jesus is your son who died for our sins. Help us to know you have your best for us and can give us peace and everything else in Jesus name. We rebuke any relationship that does not align with your will. We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.
We encourage you to seek God's will for your life and your relationships. Trust in Him with all your heart, and He will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB) Remember all things are possible with God (Matthew 19:26) including finding peace in His will.
