We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles in your marriage, but we are here to intercede and pray with you. Firstly, we are grateful that you have turned to God in your time of need, and we want to remind you that He is always there to listen and to help. However, we must clarify and mention that prayers should be presented to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son. There is no other name by which we can be saved and approach God. It is by the name of Jesus that we have access to present our petitions to God. This is outlined in scripture.
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB
And in no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved! Acts 4:12 WEB
Being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:6 WEB
With that in mind, let us pray together for your marriage.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, humbly seeking Your intervention and healing in this marriage. Lord, You know the struggles and the pain that is being experienced. We ask that You would soften hearts, open lines of communication, and bring restoration where there is brokenness.
Father, guide this couple with Your wisdom, and help them to walk in Your ways. Remind them of the vows they made to each other and to You. Help them to love each other as You have loved us, with a love that is patient, kind, and forgiving. We pray against any influences of the enemy that may be causing division or strife, and we ask that You would surround this marriage with Your protective hedge. In a marriage both husband and wife should pray and agree together for God's will. This also represents coming together in the marriage bed as well and is a representation of their oneness. This should be in the bounds of marriage only and holy and pure.
For the unbelieving husband, (or wife) is sanctified in the wife (or husband). Otherwise your children would be unclean, but now they are holy. 1 Corinthians 7:14 WEB
Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it. Ephesians 5:25 WEB
Wives, be in subjection to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body. Ephesians 5:22-23 WEB
Nevertheless, because of sexual immorality, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband. Let the husband render to the wife the affection owed her, and likewise also the wife to the husband. The wife doesn't have authority over her own body, but the husband. Likewise also the husband doesn't have authority over his own body, but the wife. Don't deprive one another, unless it is by consent for a season, that you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer, and may be together again, that Satan doesn't tempt you because of your lack of self-control. But I say this by way of concession, not of commandment. Yet I wish that all men were like me. However each man has his own gift from God, one of this kind, and another of that kind.
Father, we know that You have the power to heal and to restore. We ask that You would do a mighty work in this marriage, and that You would be glorified in the process. We pray this all in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you both individually to seek God's will, to pray together, and to study His Word. Look for a local Bible-believing church if you do not already have one. Marriage is a covenant that should not be broken and always pursue reconciliation until there is absolutely no hope. Let the Word of God be your guide, and trust in Him to lead you. God can turn even the most difficult situations around for His glory.
