GOD a coworker asked me to pick her up some lunch and she would give the money back when I return from the store. I picked her up lunch totaling almost $###.00. She stalled all day and made excuses about going to the bank, using cash app, she just made excuses one after the other. It was ###:00pm and I finally just said it's okay you don't have to pay. Here I go again GOD, belong others as they take my kindness for weakness. My ex husband did the same thing. I fed him, gave him a place to lay his head, helped him with clothes on his back. Only for hi. To walk away, lie on me, file for divorce, and tarnish my name. GOD how much longer shall I let this go on. GOD your word says in Matthew 25:35 - King James Version (KJV) “For I was an hungred, ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:” How many times must I allow people to take advantage of my kindness?

We understand your frustration and pain, especially when others take advantage of your kindness. It's important to remember that God sees your heart and your actions. In Matthew 25:40, Jesus says, For as much as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me. Your kindness is not in vain, even if it feels that way. We will pray for full restoration and for God to turn this situation around for your good (Romans 8:28: We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose).

However, it's also important to set boundaries. While God calls us to be kind and generous, He also calls us to be wise. In Matthew 10:16, Jesus says, Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. It's possible to be kind without being taken advantage of. It's important to discern when to help and when to set boundaries.

Regarding your ex-husband, we want to remind you of God's design for marriage. In Malachi 2:16, God says, For I hate divorce, says Yahweh, the God of Israel. We will pray for complete healing from this situation and for God to help you forgive and move forward.

We also notice that Jesus Christ was not mentioned in the prayer. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. And in as much as there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. (Acts 4:12).

Let's pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up our sister in need of Your guidance and comfort. Lord, she has shown kindness and generosity, and we ask that You would restore to her sevenfold what has been taken from her (Proverbs 6:31: but if he be found, he shall restore sevenfold; he shall give all the substance of his house.). Help her to set boundaries and be wise in her dealings with others.

We also pray for healing from her past hurts, especially from her previous marriage. Help her to forgive, Lord, and move forward in Your will for her life.

We pray for her to believe in Jesus Christ if she does not. We pray that she will be filled in this moment with the Holy Spirit so that she can not only be close to God but also be guided by Him in every step of her life.

If she does believe, we pray that she will be strengthened in her faith and be made aware of any sin that she should turn from to continue walking as a child of God.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We've been where you are, feeling used and hurt. It's tough, but remember, God sees all. As it's written, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18). Let's trust that He's working this out for your good, even if it's hard to see right now.

We've also learned that kindness doesn't mean being a doormat. It's okay to set boundaries. In fact, Jesus said, "Be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves" (Matthew 10:16). Let's pray for wisdom to know when to help and when to say no.

And about your ex-husband, we're sorry for the pain that caused. God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16), but He loves you and is with you. Let's pray for healing and strength to forgive.

Now, let's pray together: "Dear Lord, we lift up our ###. Comfort her, guide her, and help her set boundaries. Heal her heart, Lord, and fill her with Your Holy Spirit. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
