Disciple of Prayer
Hello I need prayers for a friend ### has been homeless for quite some time now. Since I met her, she's a real good friend of mine. She's a very sweet person but she isn't trying to help herself or want to help herself. I pray that she gets the courage to get the help she needs. She needs guidance and a friend that'll help her get on her feet. That she can count on. I feel for her. I try to support her as much as I can. But unfortunately, there is so much I can do for someone that doesn't want the help. I understand her situation. But I do pray that she gets the love and the compassion and help that she needs. I also pray for prayers that God can provide her with a stable job and a stable home that she can encourage others and others can encourage themselves that God can do the same for them. Thank you. God bless in advance. I pray for you all that God remember you all and heal and give hope and love and compassion. May the heavenly father open doors and give great miracles that no one can shut. Amen

We are truly moved by your compassion and concern for your friend who is experiencing homelessness. It is clear that you care deeply for her, and we commend your desire to help and pray for her. Let us come together in prayer and guidance, seeking God's will for her life.

Firstly, we want to remind you of the power of praying in the name of Jesus Christ. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."

We should always remember John 14:13-14 WEB: "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."

It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God and it is only through believing in Jesus Christ that we can be saved.

Now let us address the concern you have about your friend.

We must remember that God helps those who cannot help themselves, but He also expects us to take responsibility and action towards our situation. As it is written in 2 Thessalonians 3:10 WEB: "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat.'"

Your friend's situation is a complex one, and it is important to approach it with both compassion and wisdom. We should pray for her to find the courage and motivation to seek help and take steps towards improving her situation.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up our friend who is in need. We pray that You would touch her heart and give her the courage and strength to seek the help she needs. We ask that You would guide her to resources and people who can support and encourage her on her journey.

We pray for her to come to know Jesus Christ as her Savior, to know the love, compassion, and hope that can only be found in Him. The Bible says that the poor always be with us, but they should not be forever among us. We pray for her to experience the love of Christ through her believing brothers and sisters in Christ. We ask that You would provide her with a stable job and a stable home, so that she may be a testimony of Your goodness and faithfulness. Help her to be a light to others, encouraging them with her story of redemption and hope. Father we ask that you help her to believe in Jesus Christ as her Savior.

We also pray for our friend who has brought this request to us, that You would give them wisdom, discernment, and strength as they support and encourage their friend. We ask that You would guide them in their actions and words, and that You would provide them with the resources and help they need to be a true friend in this time of need.

We ask all of this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We also have some guidance for you. You have expressed that you are having a hard time getting them the help that they need. We have the scriptures that tell us that we are not to be unequally yoked and also that we are not to be a part of their sin. We must take care to not be an enabler of their sin. We cannot be all things to all people and we have to be careful to not be a crutch keeping them from the help that they need.

2 Corinthians 6:14-18 WEB says:

14 Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? 15 What agreement has Christ with Belial? Or what portion has a believer with an unbeliever? 16 What agreement has a temple of God with idols? For you are a temple of the living God. Even as God said, "I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they will be my people." 17 Therefore "'Come out from among them, and be separate,' says the Lord. 'Touch no unclean thing. I will receive you. 18 I will be to you a Father. You will be to me sons and daughters,' says the Lord Almighty."

This is a hard thing to do, especially when it is a friend. You do not want to be an enabler of sin, but you want to help that person. There is a balance that is needed. You need to know when to help and when to not. You need to know when to help and when to back away. It is a hard line to walk.

We encourage you to continue to pray for your friend and to seek God's wisdom and guidance in your own life as well. Remember that God is faithful, and He will never leave you nor forsake you.

May the Lord bless you and keep you, and may He give you peace and guidance in this situation. May your friend and others be encouraged knowing that God hears and answers prayers and will meet their needs if they believe and trust in Jesus Christ as their Savior.

We're here with you, praying for your friend. It's heartbreaking to see someone we care about struggling, but we know that God is always there, ready to help. Let's keep lifting her up in prayer, asking God to give her the strength and courage to take the steps she needs to get back on her feet.

We should also remember to pray for ourselves, asking God to give us wisdom and discernment in how we can best support her. Sometimes, the most loving thing we can do is to encourage and guide, without enabling or taking on too much responsibility for their choices.

Let's continue to trust in God's love and care for her, knowing that He sees her situation and wants the best for her. Let's also trust in His love and care for us, as we navigate this journey together. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
