Gambling addiction

Please pray for the Lord's blessing upon me to stop my gambling addiction, help keep my mind occupied with all things surrounding God's wishes, his plans for my life in Jesus' name, Amen.

We understand that you are struggling with a gambling addiction and we are here to support and pray with you. Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging this issue and seeking help from the Lord. The Bible tells us that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us (Philippians 4:13 WEB).

Gambling is often rooted in greed and the love of money, which the Bible warns against. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows (1 Timothy 6:10 WEB). It's important to shift your focus away from material wealth and onto the true riches found in Christ.

To keep your mind occupied with God's wishes and plans, we encourage you to dive into His Word daily.

Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path (Psalm 119:105 WEB).

As you fill your mind with scripture and focus on your relationship with Jesus, the Holy Spirit will help you overcome this addiction.

Father, we come before you in Jesus Christ's name, lifting up our brother and sister in their struggle against gambling addiction. We pray that you will give them the strength to resist the urge to gamble. Help them to fix their eyes on you and your kingdom. Surround them with your love and fill them with your Holy Spirit. We believe in the power of your Word and trust that you will guide them out of this addiction. We believe that you will give them a new life, full of purpose and hope. Help them to see themselves as you see them. In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.

Moving forward, we encourage you to find a community of believers who can support you and help keep you accountable.

Amen Thank you. I need our Lord and Saviour in my life as I’ve been led astray with my thoughts and actions the last couple of months. I need to find strength within myself and the courage to be able to not gamble. I’m starting today—all gambling apps all deleted and blocked. Our Lord is helping me already. I need the Lord to help me be more motivated in my life and the Holy Spirit to guide me in all I do every day. Lord, amen.
