Let us come together in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is in His name alone that we have access to the Father and can ask for His divine protection and guidance. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
We are instructed to pray for one another, and we take your request seriously. However, we must address that the Bible encourages relationships that are aligned with God's will and that would lead to a God-honoring commitment such as marriage rather than focusing solely on a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship if there is not an intent to marry. In 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB, it says, "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" Furthermore, in Ephesians 5:3 WEB, it says, "But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints."
Let us pray for your friend, that God would protect her and guide her in her relationships. May God grant her discernment and wisdom to pursue a relationship that honors Him and leads to a godly marriage if that is His will. Let us also pray that if she is a believer that God would protect her from sexual immorality and pray that if she is not she will learn about the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
Heavenly Father, we lift up our friend's friend to You, asking for Your divine protection over her. Guide her steps and help her not stay in a casual relationship. Lord, if this relationship is not in accordance with Your will, we pray that You would reveal that to her and give her the strength to make the necessary changes. If the relationship is aligned with Your will, Father, we ask that You would bless it and guide them both towards a godly marriage that honors You. In Jesus Christ we have the strength for every situation as Philippians 4:13 says, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." We pray all of this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
We encourage your friend to seek God's will in all things and look forward to a relationship that could lead to marriage rather than just a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship as seen in the example of marriage in Ephesians 5:22-33. Additionally we would hope she would understand that if she or her boyfriend are not believers that they would understand the need for the saving grace of Jesus Christ. If there are any other specific concerns or updates, please share them with us so that we can continue to pray and support her in the light of God's Word.
