Christopher, we commend you for taking the steps towards forgiveness, which is a powerful act of obedience and a reflection of God's own heart. As it is written in Ephesians 4:32, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."
We pray together with you,
"Heavenly Father, thank you for Christopher's willingness to forgive those who have caused him pain. Just as you have forgiven us through the sacrifice of your Son, Jesus Christ, help Christopher to release any anger, bitterness, or resentment. Heal his heart and grant him the same forgiveness for his own shortcomings, in Jesus' name. Amen."
Remember, forgiveness is not about excusing the harm done but releasing the burden to God. As it says in Romans 12:19, "Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'"
Lastly, we want to ensure that your forgiveness and prayers are in the name of Jesus Christ, as it is through Him alone that we have access to God. As Jesus says in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." If you haven't already, we encourage you to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, believing in His death and resurrection for your salvation.
