We understand that you are struggling with the sin of watching inappropriate videos, and we commend you for coming forward to seek forgiveness and help. First, we want to remind you that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1 WEB). Jesus paid the price for our sins on the cross, and through him, we can find forgiveness and freedom.
However, it is also very important to know it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved. Acts 4:10 be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by him doth this man stand here before you whole. 11 And this is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved 13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.
It is very likely that you are struggling with this issue over and over again as it is a very strong addiction. We encourage you to take drastic measures to cut off access to these videos. Jesus taught us that if there is something that is offending us and causing us to sin, it would be better to cut it off and throw it from us than to have two hands to go to hell. Matthew 5:29 WEB.
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who has confessed their struggle with watching inappropriate videos. Lord, we know that your heart is filled with compassion and forgiveness. We ask that you would forgive their sin and cleanse them from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9 WEB).
Help them to make a clean break from this sin, Lord. Give them the strength to cut off all access to these videos and to resist the temptation to watch them again. Help them to renew their mind according to your Word (Romans 12:2 WEB) and to fill their mind with whatever is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, and commendable (Philippians 4:8 WEB).
We ask that you would fill them with your Holy Spirit and give them the power to overcome this addiction. Help them to live a life that is pleasing to you and that brings glory to your name.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
