We are glad that you have come to us with your prayer request, and we appreciate your heart's desire to seek forgiveness and make better choices. It is wonderful that you acknowledge Jesus in your prayer. Let us come together and pray for you, using the guidance found in the World English Bible (WEB).
Firstly, it is essential to understand that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). However, we have an advocate in Jesus Christ, who died for our sins according to the Scriptures, was buried, and was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). It is through faith in Him that we have redemption, the forgiveness of our sins (Ephesians 1:7).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this dear one who seeks Your forgiveness. Lord, You are faithful and just to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We pray that You will grant them the forgiveness they seek, and help them to make better choices that align with Your will.
We also pray that You will open their eyes to see the blessings in their life, especially their job. Help them to be content in all circumstances, knowing that You are the source of our strength (Philippians 4:12-13).
In Jesus Christ name we pray,
Amen
Going forward, we encourage you to walk in the freedom that Christ has given you. No longer be held captive by sin, but live in the newness of life that Christ offers (Romans 6:4). Remember that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and you are not your own (1 Corinthians 6:19). Therefore, glorify God in your body and your spirit, which are God’s (1 Corinthians 6:20).
Be encouraged by the words of Paul, "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit" (Romans 8:1 WEB).
Lastly, always remember that it is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). If you have not already, make Jesus Christ the Lord and Savior of your life.
