Forget the former things
do not dwell on the past
See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
and streams in the wasteland
Former things are your past experience,it can be your nightmare,darkest hour,your dark night,traumatic experience,bad situation past thoughts that make you feel sick.
It can be your past victories,your glorious moment thinking that nothing is better than what you already accomplished.
What is bad about former things?what you believe and what you think becomes you-occupied with what you think are hard to change.
you can not pour new wine to the old wineskin if he does the new wine burst the skin,no one tears a patch from a new garment and sew it on old one,If he does he will torn the new garment.

what is a desert?
Desert is a symbol of this world without God,dry barren land,spiritual death,there is no road,no destination,a place that has no water,has no life,no relationship with God-wrong priority
why man can not break the habit of sin,in spite of His saving grace
God led them out of Egypt and did wonders and miraculous sign in Egypt and at the red sea
while in the wilderness they were fed with manna meat from the quails-and gave them water from the rock their sandals and clothes did not worn out for 40 days.They rejected God's instructions even killed the prophet of God,Even worship an idol in the form of a calf.man by nature has a habit of committing sin even we have witness the saving grace in our life.
The flesh has no power to abide in the law

What is significant to God is insignificant to man
Many christian find prayer meeting bible study not a priority,involvement in the church not important,it is hard for them to sacrifice time,no effort at all,would rather put their investment that can give immediate return.
-Jesus came for the sick not for the healthy,He came to preach the truth,Jesus made a way in the desert to set the people free-He invested His life because because it is significant,For HIM it is worth the sacrifice.
HE MADE A WAY IN THE DESERT,THAT IS JESUS!
