We join with you, ###, in lifting up your dear husband before the throne of grace. Let's stand together in the name of Jesus Christ, the only name under heaven whereby we must be saved. It's encouraging to see your faith in the healing power of our Lord Jesus Christ. We know that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. Please know that God works all things together for good to those who love Him, to those who are the called according to His purpose. God is the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.
In times of trial and suffering, we remember the words of the Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 12:7-10 WEB:
By reason of the exceeding greatness of the revelations, that I should not be exalted excessively, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to torment me, that I should not be exalted excessively. Concerning this thing, I begged the Lord three times that it might depart from me. He has said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me. Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong.
Even in suffering, God's grace is sufficient, and His power is made perfect in weakness. We pray that your husband will experience this grace and power in a very real way.
Let's pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, pleading the blood of Jesus over this dear husband. Father, You know the struggle against cancer, the fear of its return, and the potential suffering it may bring. We ask, Lord, that You stretch out Your hand of healing and keep the cancer from returning. In Your sovereignty, You allow trials, but we ask that You provide strength, comfort, and grace to endure. Help him to trust in You and to know that You are always with him. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
