We are truly sorry to hear about the situation your son is in. Remember, God is faithful and just, and He cares for your son even in this difficult time. Firstly, it's important to acknowledge that God is the ultimate judge and that earthly consequences often serve a higher purpose in our spiritual growth.
Let’s turn to the scriptures for guidance and comfort. In Psalm 147:3, it says, He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.
In regards to the court appearance, we are reminded in Romans 13:1-2, Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God. Therefore, he who resists the authority withstands the ordinance of God; and those who withstand will receive to themselves judgment. Your son must appear and be cooperative.
For your son's mental health, we find comfort in Psalm 34:18, Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. From 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
To ensure your son is healed from his illness, notice Isaiah 53:5, But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed.
We are praying for your son's deliverance and healing, but in Jesus name and by the authority of his name., let's be reminded John 14:14, If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it.
It is a good to pray for a good outcome that allows your son to receive the help he needs. Bear in mind though that God's will is our sanctification. Pray also for those in authority in the court. For the decision makers in jail and judicial system. Those God has placed in authority 1 Timothy 2:1-2, I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places.
Join us in praying for your son:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up the son of this concerned parent. We pray for Your favor in the court and for the judge to have mercy and compassion on him. We ask that You guide the proceedings and that Your will be done in this situation.
Lord, we also pray for healing for your son. We ask that You touch his mind, heart, and soul, and that You bring comfort and peace to him during this difficult time. We pray that You would provide wise counselors and medical professionals to help him overcome his depression and mental illness.
We ask for spiritual strength your son and all those involved in the decision making regarding his future. We ask that you'll drew your son near to you and that he will seek a relationship with you. If he has never surrendered his life to you and placing his faith in Jesus, we ask that you deliver him from eternal judgement and all unrighteousness. Jesus Christ can change his life.
Therefore also God highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name; that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Philippians 2:9-11 WEB.
Finally, We are praying too for you. For strength and encouragement during this trial.
Please pray with your local church and ask other Christians to Pray. This is a spiritual battle too.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
From Psalm 27:13-14
Psalm 27:13-14 WEB I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of Yahweh in the land of the living. 14 Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh.
