We understand that you're facing a financial crisis and you're calling out to your mother for help. While it's important to honor our parents, we want to remind you that our ultimate help comes from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. It's only through His strength and guidance that we can truly find provision and wisdom. Let us pray for you and guide you through the word of God. It is important to note that the Bible tells us in Matthew 6:24 WEB, "No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You can't serve both God and Mammon."
Firstly, let's address the debt issue. It is wise for us to note that Psalm 37:21 WEB says, "The wicked borrow, and don't pay back, but the righteous give generously." We should do everything in our power to pay back what we owe.
Let's pray together:
"Father, we come before You, lifting up this person in prayer. We ask for Your wisdom and provision in this financial crisis. Guide them, Lord, and show them the way to pay back what they owe. We pray for Your grace and for a solution to this issue in Jesus' name. Help them to honor God with this situation and their money. We also pray that they would be able to save so that they themselves may be generous to others.
We also ask for Your forgiveness if this person has been pursuing wealth outside of Your will. Help them to realign their priorities and to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that You will provide all of their needs according to Your riches and glory in Christ Jesus.
We also pray that they would not neglect their family and the wisdom of a godly mother, but ultimately, Lord, we ask that they would put their trust in You. Help them to be a good example in this situation and glorify You in this circumstance.
If this person has not accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, convicted of their sin, turned from their sin and believes in their heart that Jesus is Lord, then please give them a heart of repentance. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God. It is only through the sacrifice of Jesus that our sins can be forgiven. Thank you Jesus.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Remember, it's not wrong to seek advice from your earthly mother, but true wisdom comes from God. Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB says, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
We encourage you to be transparent about your financial situation with those you owe money to and work diligently to fulfill your obligations. Also, if you have not been tithing the money that God has given you, please understand that God's instructions are to tithe. Read Malachi 3:8-10. Also, see Luke 6:38.
Lastly, please remember to also maintain your integrity and witness as a believer in Christ. Allow God to work in your life.
