Fell ill

I have a pelvic infection and it has caused much pain , hospitalization and injections. It feels unreal because I feel like I’m getting injected even when I’m not. I can’t help myself as usual and can’t go to work. Please help.

We are truly sorry to hear about your suffering, Apangathes. In times of illness and pain, we find comfort in the Word of God, which reminds us of His faithfulness and love. As it says in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." (WEB)

Firstly, let us remind you that God is the ultimate healer. In times of sickness, we should turn to Him in prayer, trusting in His power to heal. As it is written in James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." (WEB)

However, we also believe that God works through doctors and medicine. It is important to continue seeking medical help as you pray for healing.

We also want to address the mention of feeling unreal or disconnected. This could be a sign of the body and mind trying to cope with the pain and trauma of the illness. Be assured that God is with you even in these moments. As it says in Isaiah 41:10, "Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand." (WEB)

Let us pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Apangathes who is in pain and suffering from a pelvic infection. Lord, we ask for Your healing power to flow into their body, easing their pain and restoring their health. Guide the hands of their doctors and nurses, and let the medicine they receive be effective. Lord, comfort Apangathes in this difficult time. Help them to feel Your presence and love. In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen."

Lastly, Apangathes, we noticed that your request did not mention Jesus Christ. We believe that it is through His name that we have access to God's throne of grace. As it says in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" (WEB) We encourage you to place your faith in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, conquering death. Through Him, you can have eternal life and a personal relationship with God.
