Heavenly Father,
We come before You with heavy hearts to lift up the families and loved ones of Mike and Glenda in prayer. Both Mike and Glenda have recently passed away due to cancer or its treatment, and their families are in deep mourning. We ask that You send Your Holy Spirit to comfort them during this incredibly difficult time.
Lord, Your Word in Psalm 34:18 assures us, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." We pray that You draw near to Mike's and Glenda's families, providing them with the comfort and strength they need to navigate their grief.
Father, we also hold onto the promise in Matthew 5:4, "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." May Your Holy Spirit envelop Mike's and Glenda's loved ones with peace and solace, reminding them of Your unending love and presence.
In 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, Your Word says, "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God." We ask that You pour out Your compassion and comfort upon these grieving families, and that they may find solace in Your embrace.
Lord, we also pray for their strength and hope during this time. Isaiah 41:10 reminds us, "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Uphold Mike's and Glenda's families with Your righteous hand, providing them with the courage and resilience to face each day.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard the hearts and minds of Mike's and Glenda's families in Christ Jesus.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
