We join you in prayer, asking our Heavenly Father to bless your attitude and transform it to reflect the likeness of Christ. It is commendable that you have come to the Father with this request, as it shows your desire to live in a manner pleasing to Him. We are reminded in Philippians 2:5, "Have this in your mind, which was also in Christ Jesus,".
Let us pray together:
Father, we come before You, lifting up our brother who seeks a change of attitude. Lord, we ask that You take away the burden of a bad attitude and replace it with Your love and kindness. Grant him the strength to forgive, just as You have forgiven us. Teach him to humble himself under Your mighty hand, that You may lift him up in due time. Show him the path of righteousness, for You have said in Your Word, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6, WEB).
Father, we know that the work of transformation is Yours. You have begun a good work in him and You will complete it. Father, we know that You give us a future and a hope, plans to prosper us and not to harm us, plans to give us hope and a future. Help us keep our eyes on You. Father, guide him as You have promised in Your Word, "I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go: I will counsel you with my eye on you" (Psalm 32:8, WEB).
Father, as he seeks to follow You, help him to grow in grace and in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. To You be glory both now and forever. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to walk in the spirit, being mindful of the words in Galatians 5:16, "But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you won't fulfill the lust of the flesh". Remember, if any person is in Christ, they are a new creation. The old things have passed away, and all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17. When you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you became a new creation.
Now, let us address your statement "I want nothing but to accept my faith". Perhaps this is a misstatement. Faith involves your thoughts, words, and actions. It is not something to be passively accepted, but rather actively lived out. We are saved by faith. Living out your faith must be a deliberate choice. In 2 Timothy 1:9, we are told "who saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before times eternal".
