We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you're facing, and we are here to lift you up in prayer and provide biblical encouragement.
Firstly, we want to acknowledge your faith in Jesus Christ, as you've submitted your request in His name. This is wonderful, for it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved.
Let us address your concerns one by one.
Regarding your physical health, we pray that God will strengthen you and lift up your spirits. Remember that God's word says, "He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might." Isaiah 40:29 WEB.
While your doctor may be cautious about prescribing weight loss medication, trust that God is able to make a way where there seems to be no way. Continue to trust in Him and listen to your body.
As you're recovering from your gall bladder surgery, trust that "The Lord will sustain you on your sickbed and restore you from your bed of illness." Psalm 41:3 WEB.
About your son, we pray that God will deliver him from the spirit of suicide and bring healing to his behavioral issues. "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Psalm 34:18 WEB.
We also pray that God will give him the desire to eat, sleep, and focus on his studies. Remember that "Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and with people." Luke 2:52 WEB. We pray that your son will grow in a similar manner.
Regarding his excessive gaming, encourage him to be sober-minded and productive. "Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age" Titus 2:12 WEB.
We rejoice with you as your husband overcomes his addiction. Indeed, this is a praise report, for "Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature. Old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new." 2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB. Continue to pray for his complete deliverance.
For your oldest son, we pray that God will bring healing to his mental and physical health. Also, we ask God to bring good, godly friends into his life to combat his loneliness.
As for his desire for a girlfriend, we encourage him to seek God first and trust in His timing. "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." Matthew 6:33 WEB. The goal should be marriage and not just looking for a girlfriend.
Let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up this family. Lord, we pray for healing, strength, and a renewed spirit for this dear mother. Father, we pray for her son, that you will deliver him from all harm and danger, and bring healing to his mind and body. Lord, we thank you for the progress her husband has made, and we ask that you complete the good work you've started in him. Father, we pray for her oldest son, that you will bring healing and good, godly friends into his life. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
