Some of us might think because somneone is of a different religion, or proclaiming something other than the Gospel, that we would easily recognize them the second they open their mouth, and there would be no similarities at all between us.But sometimes the devil is not that obvious. Like..from what I've seen, and those I've known into these "movements'[false religions},alot of what they say at first, until they "slip up"sounds "similar" to certain Biblical truths,They "mimic" Christianity, like I've heard them, and they "mimic" the actions of a church service, raise their hands in the air, even use the name of Jesus. They can quote certain Bible verses{although they use them for their own reasons}And so, sometimes at first glance, we may think,"They seem to be "in line with" the Truth."{Compared to a religion that's easier to see , like the Hindus saying there's 5 "gods".But usually what happens is eventually they "give away" the things they "were taught"{brainwashed by}their "founder'}such as, there is more then one way to Heaven,{"And there is salvation in no other"}God will forgive all of us, even if we don't believe , and we'll "all" go to Heaven.{"For unless we all repent we will all likewise perish"}stating that "their church" is the only true church, and all the others are false Christians, deceived and going to hell{"Therefore you are inexcusable oh man , if you judge"}.So while at first they may "mimic" the real thing, and for a while they may "talk the talk", sooner or later they say things that identify them. When we try to show them by Scrpiture where they're wrong, they defend what their "leaders" taught them, and they say the real Christians were taught wrong. They have "new revelation" since then. {The Bible"Anyone who adds to this Word, God will add to the plagues mentioned in this Book."} But the point is, not all false religions are as obvious,at first glance like some occult religion. Some of them "mimic" us."For even Satan transforms himself into an angel of light. It is no wonder, therefore, that his ministers do the same."And I guess that since showing them from Scripture where they're wrong usually doesn't work, because they're "brainwashed" to think WE"RE wrong,{deceived} I guess add praying to it."That their eyes might be turned from darkness to light".

Fasting and praying for all false prophets to get saved. To see Jesus a true Savior and Lord of their lives. May God hear us and save them. Amen

Did you know that Steven calls anyone a masochist who shares with him in the actual Word of God/Jesus to count it all as joy? It is hard for me to agree with anyone who would do that Hymnion. Do you really want to follow Steven?
"I may not always agree with Steven, but this statement I agree with"

That is what I said. I'm not "following" Steven.

There are tiers of issues in the church. I may disagree with Steven on lower-tier issues, but this is higher tier.

"Did you know that Steven calls anyone a masochist who shares with him in the actual Word of God/Jesus to count it all as joy?" What do you mean? I want to avoid the strawman fallacy.

I tend to avoid Steven as a norm strictly because he calls anyone a masochist who shares with him to count it all as joy when he has problems that he voices through text.

What do I mean? Do you ever try to count a difficult situation as joy? Well Steven says you are a masochist if you do try to count something as joy that he won't count as joy which in Steven's eyes seems to be anything.

If Steven posts a blog, it doesn't matter what it is, if he tries to teach another, I am going to let everyone know what he says about counting anything as joy, whoever as a norm Steven says is a masochist if they are trying to be obedient to Jesus and count it all as joy.

It is pretty simple to me. I'm sticking up for those who desire to follow the Jesus of the Bible. I don't believe anyone can both follow Jesus and Steven at the same time my friend.

Jesus suffered for us, Jesus calls us to suffer with Him and until Steven repents I am not going to quit.

okay then

okay then
Let's check out what I ACTUALLY said and meant Jesus said "Count it all joy{here's the part he left out}WHEN men persecute you and lying say all kinds of things against you for My sake. Rejoice, for your reward is great in Heaven, for such they did to the prophets."meaning , if you're persecuted ,for His sake, count it all joy. What I DON'T think it meant is count any experience you ever have as joy. Like, if your car stalls in a tunnel and the cell phone signal is down , and you're stuck there for an hour, or if you're a window washer on the Empire State Building and the scaffold breaks and you're hanging from the 85 floor, etc etc. Things like that are just "symptoms" of living in the fallen world. It has nothing to do with the verse in the Bible that says "Count it all joy".{Check it out.}It says WHEN, . not if some mishap that happens..} A person who , when their dentist pulls 5 teeth without novocaine, says they find it enjoyable,to me , ...He said it right when he said "When we suffer FOR JESUS LIKE HEUFFERED FOR US'. Being happy because you're dangling off the Empire State Building is , to me, an incorrect interpretation of that verse."Suffer for Jesus like He suffered for us,' . He died for us, we can die for Him. The Bible DOES NOT SAY, Jesus was stalled in a tunnel with no cell signal for an hour..so you know what I ACTUALLY said.If you're stalled in a tunnel, would you post a praise report saying what a wonderful experience it wa,s and you had a blast? Then compare it to the verse I gave you "Count it all joy WHEN{and describes the circumstances} But he hears what he wants to hear.

Lol, you really don't want nor desire to count anything as joy, do you?

Brother James I agree and Brother Steven I agree. Is that even posdible?

Being persecuted for Jesus should be taken as joy. I think Steven agree with that point! But his blog was referring about distress that happened outside persecution for Jesus. Because the said verse seems to be referring to persecution for Jesus' sake.

I think the confusion lies in the interpretation of Joy. Joy is not an emotion and is found in the spirit. In fact the word implies 'gift'. Joy is the Greek word chara. Related to both charis ("grace" or "gift") and charos (rejoice; expressing joy) Joy is the response to a gracious gift.

Distress, sadness, and anger are emotions that are not in the Spirit. They are natural reactions to suffering.

It is only natural to have these emotions but the quicker you resolve them the better.
I believe that Jesus' has my back. Ultimately I know it's all good. Don't get me wrong, I do suffer negative emotions when experiencing hardship. But at the end I trust Jesus, so I let them go. Sometimes it's not easy.
This blog force me to reach deeper into the word.
So as crazy as it may sound, you are both right.

We should always try to count our suffering as joy but that doesn't mean you won't have some negative feelings at first.

Thanks for sharing. This blog helped me understand.
