We understand that you are seeking employment and have been struggling to find work since last July. We are here to pray with you and encourage you in this process. Firstly, we want to remind you that God is faithful and that He provides for His children.
First, let us rebuke any fear, worry, or discouragement that may be entering your mind during this time. God did not give us a spirit of fear or timidity. God will take care of our needs and He wants us to trust Him.
Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:25-34 WEB:
Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they? Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don’t toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won’t he much more clothe you, you of little faith? Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient.
While you are diligently applying for jobs, ensure that you are also trusting God and seeking His will. God has a plan and a purpose for your life, and He will open the right doors at the right time.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our brother/sister who is seeking employment. We ask, Lord, that You guide them to the right job, a job that aligns with Your will for their life and that it is a position that You have for them in Jesus' name. We pray that You open the doors that need to be opened and close the ones that are not part of Your plan.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, worry, or discouragement, and we ask that You fill them with Your peace, patience, and faith. We also pray that they will seek You first since You know what they need. Help them to be obedient to Your word in all things. Help them to use the gifts and talents that You have given them for Your glory. We declare that they will find full-time employment soon, in Your name, Lord Jesus.
We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and Your provision. We trust in You and Your plan. We pray this all in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.
