Jesus, we trust in You!Let us treat all of our moments as one of the most precious commodity that God has given us here on earth. We must learn to handle this gift with great care.
Ephesians 5:15-17
Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.
I recently reached a milestone of a sort by turning 60 years old. I do realize it's just a number and quite insignificant in comparison to the grand scheme of things, i.e.: eternity, nevertheless, here on earth it is quite significant. It is a reminder that my physical body will give way to an incorruptible body.
Understandably, I find myself conversing with God more often. Afterall the math seems to suggest that my days ahead of me are fewer then the days behind me. I'm not dismayed by this thought, simply aware that time as become extremely precious. I better straighten any imperfections. But shouldn't we all be living our lives to the fullest with Jesus - young or old? Do we need a permanent marquee over our heads to remind us that our time on earth is limited, and we need to engaged in God's work now! You never know when the Father will call us home. Will you be one of the few that will be labouring in His Love when you leave earth?
Proverbs 27:1
Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring.
We often hear of the term 'time management' being used. It is a process to effectively manage our daily activities. One prioritizes their schedule and tries to adhere to the proposed plan. Similarly 'economizing' your time is of great importance. It frees itself of the less important things that may be cluttering up your daily schedule. In fact 'economize time' refers to a bare essential schedule - only the neccessities. Remember Jesus' apostles when they were dispatched in pairs to preached throughout the land. They had the bare essentials only. Keep only what serves His Kingdom here on earth.
We have to let go of the selfish activities and cling to the most important matters.
1 Corinthians 13:11
When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.
Time is now to re-examine our priorities. Is God our most important item in our schedule today?
Luke 12:21
Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and he will give you everything you need.
Economize your daily schedule with Jesus Christ.
