We are glad that you have come seeking forgiveness and have acknowledged the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we have access to God, and it is only by His name that we can be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear soul seeking Your forgiveness. Lord, you are merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness. You do not keep your anger forever, nor do you hold a grudge against those who turn to you in repentance as we see in Psalm 86:15, WEB. We pray for this individual to be transfigured and renewed by the Holy Spirit.
We ask that You forgive their sins and cleanse them from all unrighteousness as promised in 1 John 1:9 WEB, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
Help them to turn away from their sins and to walk in the path of righteousness, knowing that You are always with them, guiding and protecting. Give them the strength to resist temptation and the courage to live according to Your will. Strengthen them that they would not fall back into the bondage of sins that Jesus Christ died to forgive.
In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue walking in the light of God's Word as we see in the WEB translation of Psalm 119:105, "Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path." Trust in the Lord, and lean not on your own understanding. Remember that God's ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts. As it is written in Isaiah 55:8-9 WEB, "'For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,' says Yahweh. 'For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.'"
If there is any sin that you are struggling with or any area of your life that does not align with biblical principles, we urge you to turn away from it and seek God's will. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. As stated in Romans 12:2 WEB.
May God's blessings be upon you, and may you continue to grow in your faith and relationship with Him.
