We understand that you are seeking deliverance from evil music, and you have asked for forgiveness in Jesus Christ's name. We appreciate that you have acknowledged the power and authority of Jesus Christ in your prayer request. It is only through His name that we can find forgiveness, deliverance, and salvation.
Firstly, we want to encourage you with the words of Jesus in John 8:36 WEB: "If the Son therefore will make you free, you will be free indeed." Also, in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" If you are being influenced by evil music, you can have the Holy Spirit as described in Romans 8:26 WEB, "the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don't know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can't be uttered."
Music can have a powerful influence on our minds and spirits, as Philippians 4:8 WEB reminds us, "Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things." It is important to fill our minds with things that are pure and uplifting, which will draw us closer to God.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your forgiveness and deliverance for our brother/sister who is being influenced by evil music. Lord, we ask that You cleanse their heart and mind, and help them to fix their thoughts on what is pure, honorable, and true.
We pray that You will fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may be strengthened and guided in Your truth. Help them to turn away from any music that does not glorify You, and lead them to music that uplifts their spirit and draws them closer to You.
We ask this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, who sets the captives free. Amen.
Be encouraged by the promise in 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." Trust in God's faithfulness, and He will show you the way out of this temptation.
