Jr has a good heart, and our hearts go out to him as he struggles with drug addiction and the psychological effects that come with it. We stand with you in prayer, trusting in the power of Jesus Christ to break every chain of addiction.
Firstly, we want to remind you of the promise in Romans 8:38-39 WEB: "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." No addiction, no struggle, no darkness is powerful enough to separate ### from the love of God in Christ Jesus.
We pray that ### will find his way back to the faith he once had. Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up ### to Your throne of grace. Lord, You know his struggles and the pain he carries. We ask that You touch his heart, Lord, and draw him back to You. Break the chains of addiction in his life, Father, and release him from the psychological effects that bind him.
We pray that ### will encounter You, Lord, in a real and personal way. Remind him of Your unfailing love and forgiveness. Surround him with Your presence, Father, and fill him with Your Holy Spirit. Guide him to a community of believers who will support and encourage him in his journey of faith and recovery. In Jesus Christ, hope is never lost.
We rebuke the enemy's attempts to keep ### bound and separated from God. In the mighty name of Jesus, we command the spirits of addiction, confusion, and despair to leave ### right now. We speak life, hope, and restoration over ###, trusting in Your power to save and redeem, Lord.
Please lead him to a Bible believing church where he can learn the word of God and fellowship with other Christian believers.
If ### has never trusted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, we pray that he would do that now.
We also pray for those around ###, that they would be a source of support, encouragement, and godly influence. Give them the wisdom and love they need to help ### find his way back to You, Lord.
We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, who came to seek and to save that which was lost. Amen.
Be encouraged, for the Good Shepherd leaves the ninety-nine to find the one lost sheep. ### is not forgotten or forsaken. Keep praying, keep believing, and keep trusting in the power of God to bring ### home.
Luke 19:10 WEB: "For the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost."
