Don't lie!!

Jesus said, "Let your yes mean yes, and your no, no."When reading in the Bible who will go to Heaven or Hell, we read things like,"And anyone liking and carrying on a lie."{will be outside}Also, "But as for {names types of sinners} AND ALL LIARS, these shall have their part in the lake of fire.More proof?The devil is called "the father of lies."Why are we fallen?Because the devil LIED to Eve.Yet unsaved people seem to make a habit of lying. Some who have lied to me{and I've heard others who got lied to in this way too}are, people{could be "friends" , or people you met,} promising to keep in touch ,but failing to do so. A popular one is, they want to or need to borrow money, the person being asked needs it for their own bills, reluctantly "gives in " and agrees, then after swearing high and low that they'll pay back, don't, and each time they set a date to do it, make another excuse{lie}, and there goes your money that you worked for down the drain, because you believed a ..LIE!!I've heard people lie about other things. I've even had one tell me,sarcastically,"I didn't know words were that important." Yeah..Jesus said, "Let your yes mean yes, and your no , no."Promising something, and then acting like it's no big deal to go back on your word ,that's not a Godly attitude. So if God can't lie, and the devil is called the father of lies,which one is someone imitating when they tell these "little white lies?"Uh-huh..UH-HUH..Jesus says let your yes mean yes and your no, no,and the devil says ,"No big dieal. Lie, lie. lie."who are these people following?

They try to "rationalize" and "minimize" it by telling themselves{or the devil misleading them}that it's "No big deal", "everybody" lies". "Who notices it?"God notices it, that's who.

Yes, I also agree to this, the devil lied from the very beginning. He is the father of all lies.Jesus Christ said if you are my desciples, you will obey my commands and you will know the truth , and the truth will set you free.Lie always brings bondage, but the truth will set you free.A person who speaks on his own authority is trying to gain glory for himself. But he who wants to glory the one who sent him is honest , and there is nothing false in him.John 7:18

In addition to the main reason I post is to bring God's will into situations, I also know it furthers the truth and confounds lies. This is also the reason I vote -- "I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you do know it, and because no lie is of the truth" (1 John 2:21).

Brother Stephen I like to read your articles.I was wondering what has happened to you I did not deliberately ignore your content.I am happy to see that you are on the site.
I agree that we must endeavor to speak the truth at all times.There is a me.iry even which says that he who hides the wrong he did does the wrong thing still.Many people lie to get out of trouble ,some people tell what is called white lie .This is maming some excuse for getting out oftroubld or some other thing but even if you rsmovd the whits you are still left with the wordlie.There is no such thing as half truth.No sin at all can enter Heaven.you cannot have one foot in and one out.A lying tongue is an abomination to the Lord. Whatsoever things are perfect ,whatsoever things are true let us think on those things.
