Domination And Submission

A friend refuses to apologize for things she's done to me. She won't take accountability for one simple reason: she thinks it's a gesture of SUBMISSION. She sees it as some sort of groveling, a lowering of her "status". She thinks it's about admitting to being a Lesser Person. She thinks she would be "laying down" and giving up her control and dominant position to me. This leaves me feeling abused. She thinks people who apologize TO HER are SHOWING SUBMISSION in the same way. That's why she got MORE controlling when I apologized. She manipulated me to take responsibility for something I didn't do. My hurt meant nothing. Her shame caused her to rage, though I love this person I had to leave the friendship. Practically everything is interpreted as domination and submission, who has control and who is being controlled, who is being recognized as more important and who is not. Lord heal her of her own self destruction in Jesus name Amen
