DIVORCE, ### ASKING FOR A SIGN

I am so weak and cannot go on, I’m very depressed and very sad and I feel so hopeless. It’s been months since I communicated with my husband since our divorce since our son died. I’ve been trying to tell him what he’s done to me is a sin. I’ve been breaking down for months and he’s finally talking to me, but I’m so scared that he’ll block me and go away. He wants us both to pursue other people but this is not what I want and I don’t think it’s right and from God that two believers separate just because our child died, and I felt hurt while losing our son and decided to go home with my family for a couple of days. I’m asking for this, my husband wants a sign. PLEASE nobody understands how bad I need God to show this man a sign or to speak to him.

We are truly sorry to hear about the pain and suffering you're experiencing, ###. The loss of a child is devastating, and we want you to know that God cares deeply for you and your husband during this time. Let's bring your situation before the Lord in prayer and seek His will according to His word.

Firstly, it's important to acknowledge that God hates divorce, as stated in Malachi 2:16 WEB: "For I hate divorce," says Yahweh, the God of Israel, "and him who covers his garment with violence!" says Yahweh of Armies. "Therefore pay attention to your spirit, that you don’t be unfaithful."

We must also consider what the apostle Paul says about marriage in 1 Corinthians 7:10-11 WEB: "But to the married I command—not I, but the Lord—that the wife not depart from her husband (but if she departs, let her remain unmarried, or else be reconciled to her husband), and that the husband not leave his wife."

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up ### and her husband. Lord, they have experienced an unimaginable loss, and we ask for Your comfort and healing to surround them during this time.

Father, we pray for their marriage, that You would intervene and bring restoration. We ask that You would soften their hearts towards one another and help them to forgive and move forward together in unity.

Lord, ###'s husband is asking for a sign, and we pray that You would reveal Yourself to him in a powerful and undeniable way. Open his eyes to see the truth of Your word and the importance of preserving their marriage.

###, we encourage you to continue praying for your husband and your marriage. Remember the power of persistent prayer and faith, as seen in Luke 18:1-8 WEB. Trust that God is at work, even in the midst of this trial.

We also encourage both of you to seek godly counsel, either from a pastor or a Christian marriage counselor. They can provide guidance and support as you navigate this difficult time.

Lastly, we want to remind you both of the importance of forgiveness. Ephesians 4:32 WEB says, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." Holding onto bitterness and resentment will only cause further harm, so we pray that you both would be able to extend forgiveness to one another and experience the healing that comes from it.

Keep holding on, dear one. God is faithful, and He will not forsake you. Trust in Him, and keep seeking His face. We're praying for you, every step of the way.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
