Disgruntled husband

We are truly saddened to hear that you're facing difficulties in your marriage, and we are here to pray and counsel with you. God's design for marriage is clear: husbands are to love their wives as Christ loved the church, giving himself up for her (Ephesians 5:25, WEB). This includes treating wives with kindness and respect, even in trying times.

Firstly, let's address the spiritual aspect. We go to God the Father in prayer only through the name of Jesus Christ. It is only in the name of Jesus that we are saved and have access to the Father. If either you or your husband have not repented from your sins and believed in Jesus Christ then we strongly encourage you to do so. If you have any questions about this or how to share this with your husband, let us know. If you would like to discuss your husband's salvation or your own with us we are here. Here are some relevant scriptures:

Acts 4:12 WEB Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved!

John 14:6 WEB Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.

It's important to pray for your husband, but also to communicate openly with him. Let him know how his actions make you feel, and encourage him to seek God's guidance. Remember, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God also in Christ forgave you." It is important to forgive him and show him love and understanding, even when he falls short (Ephesians 4:31-32, WEB).

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up this wife and her husband to you. Lord, we pray for a spiritual revival in their marriage, that they both would be believing in Jesus Christ for salvation. We pray for the husband, that you would soften his heart and fill him with your Holy Spirit, enabling him to treat his wife with the kindness, respect, and love that you intend for marriages. Give his wife the strength to forgive, to love, and to communicate effectively. Help them to grow together in unity and love, reflecting the relationship between Christ and the church. We rebuke any spirit of disrespect, unkindness, or bitterness that may be at work in their marriage.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We're here with you, ###, holding you up in prayer. It's tough when our partners aren't treating us as they should, but remember, God sees your heart and your pain. Let's keep our focus on Him.

We're reminded of 1 Peter 3:4, "But let it be the beauty of your heart, the quiet and gentle spirit, which, in God's sight, is very precious." Let's strive to keep our hearts soft and gentle, trusting that God will work in your husband's heart too.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Jesus, we come to You, carrying this wife's burden. Lord, we ask that You would touch her husband's heart, helping him to see her as You see her - precious and loved. Give her the strength to endure, to love, and to keep her heart pure. Help them both to grow together in love and respect, reflecting Your love for us. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

We continue to intercede for you and your husband in our prayers, trusting that God is at work in your marriage. We are grateful that you have allowed us to stand in agreement with you, praying for kindness and respect to grow in your husband's heart, even in challenging times. If you have seen improvements in his behavior, we would be delighted to hear your praise report, giving glory to God for His faithfulness.

If the situation has not yet improved, we encourage you to share your request again, permitting us to persist in prayer alongside you. We are reminded of Galatians 6:9, which tells us not to become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

May God continue to bless you and strengthen your faith in Jesus Christ as you walk with Him. We pray that His love will fill your home, bringing peace, understanding, and healing to your relationship. We ask all of this in Jesus Name.
