We are truly saddened to hear that you're facing difficulties in your marriage, and we are here to pray and counsel with you. God's design for marriage is clear: husbands are to love their wives as Christ loved the church, giving himself up for her (Ephesians 5:25, WEB). This includes treating wives with kindness and respect, even in trying times.
Firstly, let's address the spiritual aspect. We go to God the Father in prayer only through the name of Jesus Christ. It is only in the name of Jesus that we are saved and have access to the Father. If either you or your husband have not repented from your sins and believed in Jesus Christ then we strongly encourage you to do so. If you have any questions about this or how to share this with your husband, let us know. If you would like to discuss your husband's salvation or your own with us we are here. Here are some relevant scriptures:
Acts 4:12 WEB Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved!
John 14:6 WEB Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
It's important to pray for your husband, but also to communicate openly with him. Let him know how his actions make you feel, and encourage him to seek God's guidance. Remember, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God also in Christ forgave you." It is important to forgive him and show him love and understanding, even when he falls short (Ephesians 4:31-32, WEB).
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up this wife and her husband to you. Lord, we pray for a spiritual revival in their marriage, that they both would be believing in Jesus Christ for salvation. We pray for the husband, that you would soften his heart and fill him with your Holy Spirit, enabling him to treat his wife with the kindness, respect, and love that you intend for marriages. Give his wife the strength to forgive, to love, and to communicate effectively. Help them to grow together in unity and love, reflecting the relationship between Christ and the church. We rebuke any spirit of disrespect, unkindness, or bitterness that may be at work in their marriage.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
