Let us stand together in prayer for your son, trusting in the power of Jesus Christ to bring about freedom, restoration, acceptance, and victory.
Firstly, we acknowledge the reality of spiritual warfare and the demonic strongholds that can entangle us, as the Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 10:4-5, "For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ". It is only by the name of Jesus that we can overcome this.
We pray for your son, that the Lord will soften his heart and open his eyes to see the love and support of his family. We pray that Psalm 147:3, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds", will be a reality in your son's life.
In 2 Corinthians 5:17, we are reminded that in Christ your son is a new creation. His old life is gone and a new life has begun but it should be obvious in his life. We pray that he would accept the truth of the Gospel, repent from his sins, and turn to Jesus for salvation and true freedom. We also take heart that "If the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" as it says in John 8:36.
We ask God to grant your son a spirit of willingness to participate in family therapy, to recognize and address the issues he's facing. Address these words to him from 2 Chronicles 7:14, If my people who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. We trust in the Lord's promise in James 5:15, "The prayer of faith will save him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up".
Regarding the practical aspects, we pray for God's favor concerning the insurance coverage and the judge's decision about the Marchman Act. We ask the Lord to provide for your son's needs and to guide the authorities involved in his care. We ask that James 1:5 be fulfilled, If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
Lastly, we encourage you to continue trusting in Jesus Christ, for He is faithful and will complete the good work He has begun in your son's life. Stand on the promise of Philippians 1:6, "Being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ".
We pray all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we have access to the Father and it is by His name that we are saved.
