We understand that you are facing a difficult situation at your workplace, and we are here to pray and provide biblical guidance for you. Firstly, it is important to acknowledge that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12 WEB
It is disheartening to hear that your coworkers, including those who claim to be born again, are involved in spreading jokes and demeaning you. It is important to remember that God takes slander very seriously. In Psalm 101:5 WEB, it is written, "Whoever secretly slanders his neighbor, him will I cut off. He who has a haughty look and a proud heart, him will I not tolerate."
It is also crucial to address the issue of judgement and gossip. Romans 14:4 WEB says, "Who are you who judge another's servant? To his own lord he stands or falls. Yes, he will be made to stand, for God has power to make him stand." Moreover, Leviticus 19:16 WEB warns, "Don't go around as a tale-bearer among your people. Don't act unconcerned with the blood of your neighbor, for I am Yahweh."
Regarding the attitudes of men towards women in the workplace, it is essential to remember that God calls us to treat each other with respect and kindness. 1 Peter 3:7 WEB says, "You husbands, in like manner, live with your wives according to knowledge, giving honor to the woman, as to the weaker vessel, as being also joint heirs of the grace of life; that your prayers may not be hindered." While this verse is specifically about husbands and wives, the principle of honoring and respecting women applies in all contexts.
It is also important to note that the behavior of your coworkers is a reflection of their own character and not yours. We encourage you to continue to walk in integrity and pray for your coworkers, including those who are treating you poorly. Remember, it is only Jesus who is our intermediary with God. The scriptures tell us that we only have access to God through Jesus.
John 14:6 WEB Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." Furthermore, Acts 4:12 WEB "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up the one who submitted this request. We pray that You will bring it to light, and we ask that You put an end to the jokes and demeaning comments. Lord, we ask that You will soften the hearts of the coworkers and help them to see the error of their ways. We pray for mercy and grace, that everyone involved would come to repentance and a saving faith in Jesus Christ.
We also pray for the one who submitted this request, that You will strengthen them and give them the grace to forgive and to continue to walk in integrity. We ask that You will surround them with favor as a shield and that You will guide them in their interactions with their coworkers.
We ask all of this Jesus' name.
Amen."
