We stand with you in interceding for your friend, trusting in the power of God to break the chains of addiction. We agree in prayer that God will touch your friend's heart and draw them to Himself, for it is God's will that all come to repentance and knowledge of Him.
Firstly, we must address the authority of the name you used to close the prayer. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. The name 'Most High God' is not the same as Jesus Christ. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6 WEB)
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our friend who is battling an addiction to crack cocaine. We plead the blood of Jesus over their life and declare Your power over this stronghold.
Father, we ask that You touch their heart and reveal Yourself to them in a tangible way. Stir within them a desire to invite You into their heart and let go of this destructive habit. Lord, give them the strength to call out to You in their time of need, and grant them immediate deliverance from this addiction.
We know that Your Son, Jesus Christ, came to set the captives free and to bind up the brokenhearted. We claim this promise for our friend and believe that they will be delivered from this bondage.
Lord, we also pray for their complete surrender to You. May they not only be delivered from drug addiction but also come to know You as their personal Lord and Savior. We pray that they would come to know Your Son Jesus Christ. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9 WEB)
Father, surround them with Your love and support, and guide them on the path to complete restoration. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue standing in the gap for your friend, trusting that God is at work in their life. Keep praying and believing for their total freedom and salvation, remembering. Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. (Galatians 6:2 WEB)
Remember, it is important to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with your friend. Be prepared to minister to your friend. But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: (1 Peter 3:15 WEB)
