We are glad to stand with you in prayer and offer guidance based on biblical principles.
Firstly, it's commendable that you want to make the right decisions in helping your family members. We are reminded in 1 Timothy 5:8 (WEB), "But if anyone doesn't provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever." It's clear that God expects us to take care of our families, but we should also be wise in our decisions. In 2 Timothy 1:7 (WEB), it says, "For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We pray for wisdom to guide you in these important decisions, and we ask for God to give you strength and clarity.
Secondly, for the person experiencing anxiety, we pray for God's peace to fill their heart and mind. In Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB), it says, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." We pray for this person to draw near to God and find comfort and relief from their anxiety.
Lastly, for your safe travel, we pray for God's protection over you. In Psalm 91:11 (WEB), it says, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways." We pray for God's angels to surround you and keep you safe throughout your journey.
We notice that Jesus is not mentioned in this request. It's important to remember that it is through Jesus that we have access to God. As it's written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." We encourage you to come to God in Jesus' name.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up this person who seeks your guidance. Grant them the wisdom to make the right decisions in helping their family members. Lord, we also pray for the person experiencing anxiety, may your peace fill their heart and mind. Lastly, Father, we pray for a hedge of protection around them as they travel. May your angels guard and keep them safe.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
