In times of difficulty and uncertainty, we are called to trust in the Lord with all our hearts, and not lean on our own understanding. In all our ways we should acknowledge Him, and He will make our paths straight.
Firstly, it is important to acknowledge that God is the ultimate healer, as it says in Exodus 15:26, For I am Yahweh who heals you. However, God also works through doctors and medicine to bring about healing. Therefore, it is wise to consider the medical options available and pray for God's guidance in the process. We are reminded in Proverbs 19:21, There are many devices in a man's heart, but God's counsel is what will stand.
Regarding the decision to wait for medical staff or seek other options, we should consider the wisdom of Proverbs 21:31, The horse is prepared for the day of battle; but victory is with Yahweh. While it is important to be proactive and consider the best medical care, ultimately, trust should be placed in the Lord for the outcome. James 5:14-15 reminds us if anyone is sick, let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
It is also crucial to ensure that the focus is on the Lord and His will, rather than solely on the medical options. As the request does not mention Jesus we want to remind that Acts 4:12 reminds us, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is only by Jesus that we can be saved or have access to God,
Let us pray together:
Almighty God, we come before You as a family and we come before you through the name of Jesus, seeking Your guidance and wisdom for our beloved father's health. Lord, we ask that You direct us to the right medical care, whether it be in this hospital, a private clinic, or through other connections. Give us discernment and peace in our decision-making process. We trust in Your healing power, and we pray for Your will to be done in our father's life. We ask for your forgiveness if we have not acknowledged Jesus as our Lord and Savior. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.
We encourage the family to seek the Lord together, praying fervently for His guidance and healing. Consider the advice of doctors, but ultimately, put your trust in the Lord. May God's peace and comfort be with you all during this time.
