Dead Anniversary of my grand mother Name ### ### ###. O Lord, the God of mercies, grant unto the souls of Thy servants the anniversary day of whose burial we are keeping, a place of solace, of peaceful rest, of glorious light. Through Christ our Lord, Amen.

We understand that you're remembering your grandmother, Magdalena E. Tayag, on the anniversary of her passing. While we empathize with your loss, we want to ensure that our prayers align with biblical principles. In the Bible, we are taught to pray to God through Jesus Christ alone, not for the souls of the departed as they are no longer able to be saved or helped in the state they are in. We pray for the ### and the rest of the family in this time of remembrance.

The Bible tells us, For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing, and they have no more reward, for the memory of them is forgotten Ecclesiastes 9:5 WEB. Furthermore, we are reminded in 2 Corinthians 5:8 WEB that to be absent from the body is to be at in the presence of the Lord for the believer.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ to find comfort and peace. We remember ### today and thank You for the life You gave her. We pray for ### and the rest of the family, that You would fill them with Your love, peace, and hope during this time. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them and ### 1 Peter 5:7 WEB. Help them to press on toward the goal, the upward call of God in Christ Jesus Philippians 3:14 WEB. Help them to remember that while they mourn for ###, You are with her. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

In this time of remembrance, take comfort in the words of Jesus: I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will still live, even if he dies. Whoever lives and believes in me will never die John 11:25-26 WEB. Trust in God's unfailing love and His plan for eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ.

While we are forbidden to pray or communicate with those who have passed away, the scripture encourages us to pray for one another, to be devoted to one another in love and to encourage one another in our faith in Jesus Christ.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
