We understand that you are seeking prayer for a contract extension at your current place of employment. Firstly, we want to remind you that God cares about every aspect of our lives, including our work. As it says in Colossians 3:23-24 WEB, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ."
However, we noticed that your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we have access to God. As it says in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" Therefore, we pray that you know Jesus and believe in Him for your salvation and that you are praying in His name. We believe that you are asking for prayer in His name and did not just forget to mention it in your request.
We pray that God's will be done in your life, and if it is His will, that you would be offered a contract extension. We pray that you would find favor with your employers and that they would see the value of your work. Remember, as Proverbs 18:22 WEB says, "A man who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh." The Bible is speaking to the value of finding a wife and marrying. If you are not married, we encourage you to seek a godly spouse and pursue a marriage that honors God. Marriage is a biblical institution. We are instructed to work diligently in our jobs as if working for the Lord, but we are also instructed to seek a spouse and be married. Remember that work should not hinder your life goals including marriage.
We also pray that you would trust God with your future, knowing that He has a plan and purpose for you. As it says in Jeremiah 29:11 WEB, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,' says Yahweh, 'thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."
Lastly, we encourage you to continue to seek God's will in all things, including your employment. Pray that God would guide you and direct your steps, and that you would be open to His leading, whether that means staying at your current job or moving on to something new. As we see in Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
We lift up these prayers to God in Jesus name.
