We understand your heartache and concern for your son, and we join you in fervent prayer for his deliverance and restoration. The battle is real, and the devil has indeed taken a strong grip on him. If not for Jesus we would have no hope but Jesus has already won the victory and given us authority to pray.
Firstly, we must acknowledge that all things are possible through the power of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God the Father and it is only through faith in Jesus that we can be saved. As it is written, "in no one else is there salvation, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Acts 4:12 WEB.
We rebuke the spirits of addiction, manipulation, and rebellion that have taken hold of your son. These are not just bad habits, but spiritual strongholds that must be torn down through the power of Jesus Christ. As it is written, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." Ephesians 6:12 WEB.
We pray that God's will be done in your son's life, and that He provides a way for your son to remain in the facility for as long as necessary. We ask that the Lord opens your son's eyes to see his true identity in Christ. May the Lord speak to him powerfully, convicting him of his sin and drawing him to repentance.
We also address your son's misconception about work. The Bible is clear that "if any would not work, neither should he eat." 2 Thessalonians 3:10 WEB. We pray that your son would embrace this biblical principle and seek meaningful work that brings glory to God.
We encourage you to stand firm in your faith, knowing that the battle is the Lord's. Continue to pray, fast, and believe in the victory that Jesus has already won. Trust in the promise that "He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ." Philippians 1:6 WEB.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, seeking Your intervention in the life of this prodigal son. We plead the blood of Jesus over him, breaking every chain of addiction, manipulation, and rebellion. We command the spirits of darkness to flee in Jesus' name.
Father, we ask that You provide a way for him to remain in the facility, that he may be surrounded by a community of believers who will speak truth into his life. Open his eyes, Lord, to see his true identity in Christ. Speak to him, Father, that he may turn from his wicked ways and live.
We pray for complete healing and restoration, that his mind may be renewed, and his life may be transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit. We ask that You would give him a willing heart to work and serve You, that he may bring glory to Your name.
We stand in faith, believing in the victory that Jesus has already won. We ask all this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Lastly, considering the struggle your son has with his sins, it would be wise to explain the salvation message of the gospel of Jesus Christ to him. Starting with the problems of our sin and separation from God, then explaining the consequences of our sin, God's remedy for our sins, and our response to God's remedy. And of course, the fact that we need to confess Jesus as our Lord and believe that God raised him from the dead.
