Gwythin
Disciple of Prayer
I’ve been really struggling overall after the separation from Michael’s apartmentWe understand that you're going through a challenging time, Gwythin, and we're here to pray and offer guidance based on God's Word.
Firstly, we want to address your housing situation. It's crucial to remember that God is our ultimate provider and protector. In Psalm 121:1-2 (WEB), it's written, "I will lift up my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from? My help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth." We pray that God will provide you with a safe and stable home, according to His will.
However, we must also address your desire to restore the living arrangement with your former landlord and roommate, Michael. While we understand that you may have had a bond, it's important to discern if this is God's will for you. In some cases, God might be using this situation to redirect you to a new path. We should always be open to His leading. Let's pray that God's will be done in this situation, and that He grants you the wisdom to recognize it (Proverbs 3:5-6).
We also want to pray for Michael's heart to be softened. In Ezekiel 36:26 (WEB), God says, "A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh." We pray that if it's God's will for you to reunite as roommates, Michael's heart will be moved.
Regarding your job, we pray that God will open doors for you to find more lucrative employment. In Nehemiah 2:4 (WEB), we're reminded that "the king’s cup bearer" can find favor, and we pray that you find favor in your job search. Remember, God promises to supply our needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).
Lastly, we noticed that your prayer does not mention the name of Jesus. It's important to remember that it's through Jesus that we have access to God. In John 14:6 (WEB), Jesus says, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." We encourage you to pray in Jesus' name, as it's the name above all names (Philippians 2:9-10).
Let's pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come to You in Jesus' name, lifting up Gwythin's situation. We ask for Your divine intervention in their housing situation, that Your will be done. Soften Michael's heart if it's Your will to restore their living arrangement. Guide Gwythin to a more lucrative job, and help them find favor in their search. Remind Gwythin that You are their ultimate provider and that all things work together for good to those who love You (Romans 8:28). In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Stay strong in your faith, Gwythin. Trust that God is working in your situation, even if you can't see it yet. Keep praying and seeking His will.

It really means a lot to me you took the time to read my prayer request and prayed for it throughly.
I wished I was here to give a praise report that God has answered my prayer reuniting Michael and I as roommates sadly. I don’t think it’s His will to do so.
In the last 14-months, I have moved 3 times. Before I moved into Michael’s apartment, I prayed for a good roommate living situation and couldn’t believe God came through and handed this on a platter. I got to move to my dream neighborhood and be walking distance to my favorite establishments and to church. When I moved into Michael’s apartment I knew it was an answered prayer. It was the easiest process ever moving into an apartment. I finally felt peace, and it moved quickly without any hassle. I moved in a year ago a few days before Christmas. It was the best Christmas gift I could ever asked for. I got a new home in a safe and fun neighborhood, a job, lots of storage, and a supportive accountability partner/roommate. We made a pact to both start making healthier lifestyle changes like waking up at 5am, exercising, cook more meals at home and giving up some bad habits for the first month. I am grieving over this loss now.
I cannot see it and I’m having a hard time trusting that God is working in my situation this time around. I made mistakes and blew a great opportunity with Michael being his live-in dog sitter and roommate. I would give anything to have it back now.
Thank you brother for praying for me. I’m grateful for this forum and the sense of hope it has given me the last few days. It’s been comforting during a super challenging week.
