We understand your fervent desire for David's wellbeing and salvation, and we join you in prayer for his spiritual journey. However, we must approach this situation with biblical principles in mind, focusing on God's will for both of your lives.
Let us pray together:
"Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up David to You. We pray that You continue to work in his heart, drawing him closer to You. Just as You opened the eyes of Saul, who became Paul, we ask that You open and remove the scales from David's eyes, revealing Your truth to him (Acts 9:18).
We ask for Your will to be done in David's life and yours, Cydsyc. If it is Your plan for them to be together, we trust that You will make it clear to both of them. But we also remember the words of Psalm 37:4-5, 'Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this.' We pray that both of you delight yourselves in the Lord and trust in His timing and plan.
If there are any obstacles or counterfeits in David's life, we ask that You reveal them and remove them, according to Your will. We pray that You give David the courage to reach out if reconciliation and restoration are part of Your plan.
In all things, we ask that You align their hearts with Your will. Give them both a love for You that surpasses all else, and a desire to live according to Your precepts. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you, Cydsyc, to trust in the Lord with all your heart, and not to lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6). Remember that God's plan for your life is better than any you could imagine for yourself. Trust in His timing and His will, and He will not fail you.
Lastly, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name, as it is through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). Continue to pray fervently, and may the Lord bless you and keep you.
