combating homosexual thoughts....

Hello my prayer family, this is very hard for me to admit. but I am currently experiencing the devil's work in my life.... same sex attraction... I do not want to experience such obscene thoughts and desires, I want to have a wife and many children to make Jesus happy as I want to spread the good word.... Please support me and my journey. We commend you for your courage in admitting your struggle and your desire to live a life pleasing to God. First and foremost, know that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23 WEB). Jesus Christ came to save sinners, and He can deliver you from these thoughts and desires. The Bible is clear that homosexual desires and same sex relations are contrary to God's will (Romans 1:26-27 WEB).

Remember, God calls all people to repentance, including those who are now or who have been caught up in homosexual thoughts and/or behavior (Acts 17:30 WEB). It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we can be saved and it is by his name that we can approach God. God loves you and wants you to live in His will.

Let us pray for you:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister in their struggle against same-sex attraction. We know that this is not Your will for their life, and we ask that You grant them the strength to overcome these thoughts and desires. Give them a new heart and a new spirit, that they may live according to Your will (Ezekiel 36:26 WEB). Help them to seek a godly spouse and to build a family that honors You.
and use them to spread the Good News. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Take heart in the words of 1 Corinthians 10:13 (WEB), "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."

We encourage you to engage in spiritual disciplines in order to overcome temptation. These include prayer, worship, fasting, reading scripture, and serving others. This will bring you closer to the Lord and will give you the strength to endure temptation. Seek out a trusted Christian mentor or counselor to support you in your journey. Remember, God is faithful, and He will help you overcome. In Jesus name we endure and we are saved.
