Deliverance from homosexuality

My husband was in homosexual relationships before coming to church. We have been married for ### years and he wants to be done with our marriage and live life as a gay man again. Please pray that he be delivered from his same sex attraction and for our marriage to be restored.

We are deeply saddened to hear about the challenges you're facing in your marriage, ###. Let us come before the Lord together, seeking His help and guidance in this time of need.

Firstly, let us address the root of the issue. The Bible is clear about homosexuality: "Or don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortioners, will inherit God’s Kingdom." (1 Corinthians 6:9-10 WEB)

However, we must also remember that God's forgiveness and transforming power are available to all. As it says in 1 Corinthians 6:11 (WEB), "Such were some of you, but you were washed. But you were sanctified. But you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God."

Let us pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, pleading for ###'s husband. Lord, we ask that You deliver him from his same-sex attraction. Transform his heart and mind, Lord, according to Your will. We also pray for their marriage, Lord. Restore and strengthen it, so that it may be a testament to Your love and grace. Give ### the strength and faith to endure this trial, and guide her every step of the way. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

###, we encourage you to stand firm in your faith. Remember the promise in Matthew 19:26 (WEB), "With God all things are possible." Continue to pray for your husband and trust in God's transforming power. Also, surround yourself with a supportive Christian community that can help you bear this burden (Galatians 6:2 WEB).

Lastly, ensure that you and your husband are seeking the Lord together. It's only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God (John 14:6 WEB), and it's in His name that we pray and see miracles happen. If your husband is not yet born again, pray for his salvation, as it's only through accepting Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior that he can be truly transformed.

We ask for Your wisdom and strength for ### as she supports her husband. Grant them both patience and understanding as they work through these challenges. Surround their marriage with Your love and grace, and help them to rebuild their relationship on a foundation of trust and faith in You.
