We join with you, Anamartouni, in lifting up your children to the Lord, and we appreciate your heartfelt prayers for them. We are reminded of the words of Jesus in Matthew 19:14 (WEB), "But Jesus said, 'Allow the little children, and don't forbid them to come to me; for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these.'"
Firstly, we notice that your prayers are not addressed specifically to our Lord Jesus Christ or in His name. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. We encourage you to learn more about Jesus and His wonderful salvation that he freely gives.
We pray that your son and daughter will grow in the knowledge and love of the Lord, and that He will guide their steps throughout their lives. We pray for their protection, that the Lord will hedge them in with His lovingkindness and that no evil or harm will befall them. As they grow, we ask the Lord to grant them wisdom and discernment, that they may make good choices and avoid bad influences.
We stand with you, asking the Lord to bless your children's education, that they may do well in school and grow in knowledge, understanding, and wisdom. We pray that they will walk in the light of the Lord, following His paths that are laid out for them.
We also lift up your concern for your son's communication. We pray that the Lord will enable him to speak clearly and confidently, both with you and with others. We ask that the Lord will guide your conversations together, that you may grow in understanding and love for one another.
We claim the promise of Jeremiah 29:11 (WEB) for your children, "'For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,' says Yahweh, 'thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.'" We pray that your children will grow up to be happy, healthy individuals, who love and serve the Lord with all their hearts.
We encourage you to teach your children about Jesus and share His love with them. As you pray for your children, also take time to pray with them, that they may come to know the Lord personally at a young age. Remember the words of Proverbs 22:6 (WEB), "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."
Finally, we pray that you, as their parent, will also grow in the love and knowledge of the Lord, that you may be a strong spiritual role model for your children. We pray that your home will be filled with the love, joy, and peace of the Lord, and that He will be honored in all that you do.
We are praying for you and your family, Anamartouni, that you may all come to know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, and that you may live in the abundance of His blessings.
