We join with you, Anamartouni, in lifting up your daughter and son before the throne of grace, trusting in the power of prayer and the love of our Heavenly Father. We will begin by declaring the power of Jesus name and then pray over your children. and offer some biblical encouragement.
Firstly, we must remember the words of Jesus in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it says in Acts 4:12 WEB "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." So we pray to God the Father in Jesus name.
Let us pray. Our most gracious Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, Your Son, and our Lord and Savior. We bring before You, Anamartouni's daughter and son, precious souls that You have entrusted to her care. We ask, Lord, that You watch over them and guide them in all they do. Let them know that they are loved by You and that they are safe in Your care.
Father, we pray that You will help them to do well in school, not just for academic achievement, but so that they may be equipped to serve You and others in the future. Give them wisdom and discernment to make good choices in life, and keep them from the influence of evil. As it says in Psalm 119:9 WEB "How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word." And again in Psalm 119:11 WEB "I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you." Let them hide Your word in their hearts that they may not sin against You.
We ask, Lord, that no evil or harm will come to them, and that You will hold their hand every step of the way. Let them grow up loving You and knowing that they are Your children. We pray that they will be happy and healthy adults who serve You all the days of their lives.
We also encourage Anamartouni to raise her children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. As it says in Ephesians 6:4 WEB "Fathers, don't provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord." And again in Proverbs 22:6 WEB "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."
Finally, we encourage Anamartouni to share the good news of Jesus Christ with her children, so that they may come to know Him as their Lord and Savior and be saved from their sins. As it says in Romans 10:9 WEB "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." And again in Acts 16:31 WEB "Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household."
We ask all these things in Jesus' name, trusting in His mighty power to save and keep these precious children. Amen.
