We must know Jesus. The word know is all encompassing. It is not just limited in believing on His name.
You believe that God is one. You do well. The demons also believe, and shudder.
- James 2:19 -
Just believing God is not enough.
Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’
Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!
- Matthew 7:22-23 -
Jesus clearly defines a prerequisite for Christianity; He must know you. What does that mean?
No longer do I call you servants, for the servant doesn't know what his lord does. But I have called you friends, for everything that I heard from my Father, I have made known to you.
- John 15:15 -
Christians are no longer relegated to waiting and serving the Lord when directed to, but now knowing Jesus, we have (should have) become passionate to His cause and compassionate for our Lord. We are heart to heart. We have become friends. We must share His cause, we must share the Good News.
Christianity is rooted in God's Love and forgiveness. Only faith in Jesus unlocks this truth.
It is not about our impressive life of good works: rather it is about Jesus' impressive works in our lives.
So catch His Fire and spark the world!
