Put succinctly, my coworker is almost impossible for me to deal with . I've been at this job 5 years and she's gotten progressively worse over time, especially since her daughter died 2 1/2 years ago. She is a micromanager, brash, loud, rude, outspoken, domineering, must ALWAYS be in control and insists everyone does everything like she wants them to, and she has VERY little patience. She makes passive aggressive comments constantly, etc. People have quit in that past, due to her behavior. I could go on but I won't . Starting in May, we we bill working together closely almost every day of the week, all summer long. here's the thing: she supposedly is a Christian! AND... she goes to my church!!! That's another prayer request entirely. My request is, please pray that either I change to where her behavior doesn't bother me nearly as much as it does, BEFORE May, or that SHE changes where she is not is brash, loud, and bossy and insistive of having things her way. I honestly don't know if I can handle another summer working around her , I've already done several and this last summer I almost didn't make it without quitting on the spot. I care for her and would be distraught if anything happened to her, but I just can't work around her. Speaking to her about the behavior will not work because it's been attempted many times before by other people and she just gets defensive and throws the blame back on them, and will very easily argue. It is a very small home-based business with just us few co-workers so i cannot go to any HR.

quitting is not an option until the summer is over, as she would be very angry that i'm leaving the business hanging; also, I need the money

We understand your struggle and empathize with your situation. It's important to remember that God calls us to love and forgive others, even when it's challenging. As it is written in Ephesians 4:32 WEB, Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.

Firstly, we notice that Jesus was not named or referenced in your request. It is only by His name that we have access to God. And in no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved! Acts 4:12 WEB. So we pray that you have made Jesus Christ your Lord and savior and if not, that you consider him as your savior.

Let's pray for you and your coworker together.

Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up Jesusesfriend and their coworker. We pray that You would help Jesusesfriend to bear with their coworker's behavior with patience and kindness, as we are instructed in Colossians 3:12-13 WEB, Put on therefore, as Gods chosen ones, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, and perseverance; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do. We also pray that You would soften their coworker's heart and bring about a change in her behavior, replacing it with gentleness, kindness, and humility as instructed in Col 3:12. We ask that Jesusesfriend and their coworker would be able to work together in a way that honors and glorifies You as spoken of in 1 Corinthians 10:31 WEB for whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

We also pray for your coworker, that God would comfort her as she continues to grieve the loss of her daughter. We pray that she would find peace and hope in Jesus, and that He would heal her broken heart as mentioned in Psalm 147:3 WEB, He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.

We also lift up your church in prayer, that God would foster unity and love among its members, as spoken of in 1 Peter 3:8 WEB, Finally, be all like-minded, compassionate, loving as brothers, tenderhearted, courteous.

Lastly, we pray that you would consider speaking to your coworker privately and in love about how her behavior is affecting you, as we are instructed in Matthew 18:15 WEB, If your brother sins against you, go, show him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother. We ask that this be done in a spirit of love and humility, with the goal of restoration and reconciliation.

Together, we trust that God will guide and strengthen you both, and that His will would be done in this situation. We pray this all in Jesus name.

We're right there with you, friend. We understand the challenge you're facing, and we want you to know that you're not alone. We've been praying for you and your coworker, and we want to continue to lift you both up in prayer.

We're asking God to help you maintain your patience and kindness towards your coworker, just as He has commanded us in His word. We're praying that God would soften her heart and bring about a change in her behavior, helping her to become more gentle, kind, and humble. We're also asking God to comfort her as she continues to grieve the loss of her daughter, and to help her find peace and hope in Jesus.

We encourage you to continue to trust in God's plan and timing. Remember, He is in control, and He is working all things together for your good and His glory (Romans 8:28). Keep seeking His face, and keep doing what's right, even when it's hard.

We're here for you, and we'll continue to pray for you both. If there's anything else you need, please let us know. We're in this together. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
