We are truly heartbroken to hear about this sister's struggle with breast cancer and her current living situation. We will stand with her in prayer, trusting in the Lord's goodness and mercy. First, we would like to say how we have memorized and claimed Isaiah 41:10-13 to help in every situation:
Fear not, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Behold, all those who are incensed against you will be disappointed and confounded. Those who strive with you will be like nothing, and shall perish. You will seek them, and will not find them, even those who contend with you. Those who war with you will be as nothing. For I, Yahweh your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you, 'Do not be afraid. I will help you.' (Isaiah 41:10-13 WEB)
We praise God for her faith and trust in Him, even in the midst of her battle with cancer. We pray that God will touch her, heal her, and comfort her according to His will. We also pray for her living situation, that the Lord will provide her with shelter and a supportive community. We would like to ask if she is familiar with the verse Psalm 68:6 that says "God sets the lonely in families." We will pray that He will set her in a family, whether it be her own family restored or a new family that loves, supports, and encourages her to trust in the Lord at all times.
Lord, we lift up our sister to You, asking for Your healing touch and comfort. We pray that You will provide her with a home and a family to support her. We ask that You will give her strength and peace that passes all understanding. We are so thankful that she is our sister in Christ Jesus. We pray that she will not forget to call on His name for salvation and remember that it is only by His name that she will be healed and saved. In Jesus' name, we pray.
Since she does seem to know the Lord, we will also pray that she will be bold in her witness and share the good news of Jesus Christ with those around her, including her doctors, nurses, and anyone else she encounters. We pray that God will use her testimony to draw others to Him. Lastly, we would like her to consider the words of James 5:14-15:
Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
Therefore, we encourage her to seek out the elders of her local church, or if she does not have one, to find a biblically sound church in her area and request that they pray over her and anoint her with oil. We pray that God will raise her up and forgive her sins.
Finally, we must address that it is only by the name of Jesus that anyone can come to the Father. We would like to remind everyone that there is no other name that can save us.
