Let's address these concerns with biblical principles and prayer. Firstly, the Bible is clear that homosexuality is not God's design for us. In Leviticus 18:22 (WEB), it says, "You shall not lie with a male, as with a woman. That is detestable." And in Romans 1:26-27 (WEB), "For this reason, God gave them up to vile passions. For their women changed the natural function into that which is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural function of the woman, burned in their lust toward one another, men with men committing that which is shameful, and receiving in themselves the due penalty of their error." So, while we should love everyone as Jesus loved us, we should not condone or support homosexual relationships, but instead pray for those who struggle with this.
Prayer is powerful, and we should pray for those who struggle with same-sex attraction, not necessarily that they would become straight, but that God would transform their hearts and minds according to His will. In Romans 12:2 (WEB) it says, "Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."
Regarding those with physical challenges or those who may not be conventionally attractive, we should remember that God looks at the heart. In 1 Samuel 16:7 (WEB) it says, "But Yahweh said to Samuel, 'Don't look on his face, or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for I see not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart.'" We should pray for these individuals to find their identity in Christ and to find godly spouses who will love them for their inner beauty.
Concerning your attraction to only a few women, it is not a sin to be selective. However, ensure that your standards are based on biblical principles and not just on outward appearance. In Proverbs 31:30 (WEB) it says, "Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain; but a woman who fears Yahweh, she shall be praised."
Let us pray:
"Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up those who struggle with same-sex attraction. We pray that You would transform their hearts and minds according to Your will. Help them to find their identity in You and to walk in Your truth.
We also pray for those who may feel overlooked because of their physical challenges or appearance. Help them to find their worth in You and to find godly spouses who will love them deeply.
Lord, we also pray for the one who submitted this request. Guide them as they seek a godly spouse. Help them to have discernment and to be attracted to the inner beauty of a woman who fears You.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Lastly, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name, as it is only through Him that we have access to God. In John 14:6 (WEB) Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
