Let us first thank God that this sister in Christ has identified the toxic environment she is in and is seeking a new path. We are reminded in 1 Thessalonians 5:18, "In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you."
In 2 Corinthians 6:14, it is clear that we should not be unequally yoked, "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" While this verse is often applied to marriage, it also applies to business relationships. This sister should consider how her faith and values align with those of her employer, and it seems that she has rightly discerned that it is time to move on.
Regarding business ideas, we pray for wisdom and discernment. Proverbs 16:3 says, "Commit your works to Yahweh, and your plans shall be established." We pray that God will guide her and her husband, giving them innovative ideas and the courage to step out in faith.
Concerning giving to the church and the less fortunate, we commend her heart to help others. However, let us remember that our giving should be done cheerfully and not out of compulsion or as a way to gain favor or blessings. 2 Corinthians 9:7 tells us, "Let each man give according as he has determined in his heart; not grudgingly, or under compulsion; for God loves a cheerful giver."
Finally, we pray for her husband as the spiritual leader and provider for the home. We trust that God will guide him in decisions regarding this new business, and we pray for unity in their marriage as they walk this path together. Ephesians 5:25 reminds husbands, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it."
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our sister in Christ. We thank You for her desire to leave a toxic environment and for her heart to give to others. Lord, we pray for wisdom and discernment as she and her husband seek new business opportunities. Help them to remain unified and steadfast in their faith. We ask that You open doors that no man can shut and that Your favor rests upon their endeavors. Lord, help her husband to lead their family with love and wisdom. All these things we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior. Amen.
