We are truly sorry to hear that you are facing difficulties with a bully at your workplace. Let's remember God will always be there to protect us, fight for us and that He will never leave us nor forsake us. Remember what is written in Deuteronomy 31:6 "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for Yahweh your God goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you."
God wants us to treat others with love and respect, even when they do not treat us the same way. In Matthew 5:44, Jesus tells us, "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you,". We can recognize that this person may be acting out of their own pain or insecurities, and we can pray for their healing and redemption.
Let's pray together:
Almighty God, we come before You today, lifting up this difficult situation at work. We pray for the person who is causing distress, that Your love would touch their heart and bring them to a place of repentance and healing. We ask that You would give the strength and wisdom to respond to this situation with grace and kindness, and that You would guide them through this challenge.
We also pray that if it is Your will, that You would provide a better fit for this person elsewhere, where they can find happiness and fulfillment. We ask that You would bless their efforts to find a new job, and that You would guide them to a place where they can use their talents and gifts to serve You and others.
We ask all of this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, who taught us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us. Amen.
It is good to pray for others and ask for God's will. However, keep in mind that God's will is sometimes different than our own. God has given us plenty of examples of how to deal with bullies. David faced Goliath because of his faith and trust in God. He was not scared or intimidated. When we are finally faced with the bully we should rebuke them. We should be ready to stand and defend ourselves because God is on our side. As such, we should respond to this difficult person in the same way that Jesus Christ would.
Luke 6:28 tells us "Bless those who curse you, and pray for those who defame you." It is important to remember this is God's Will and that we should follow this for our own sake. Because as Jesus tells us in Matthew 5:44, "But I say to you, Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you," we can recognize that this person may be acting out of their own pain or insecurities, and we can pray for their healing and redemption.
