We understand your desire for justice and truth, but we want to remind you of what the WEB says in Romans 12:19-21, "Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.' Therefore 'If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in doing so, you will heap coals of fire on his head.' Don't be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."
Let's pray together:
Almighty God, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for your intervention. We ask that you convict those who have set themselves against us, not for our revenge, but for their redemption. We rebuke their lies and ask that your truth would prevail. We pray for their souls, that they would find peace and salvation in Jesus Christ. We ask that you would bless them through the saving power of Jesus Christ's blood, not for their condemnation, but for their redemption. We pray for your protection over us and we ask that lies would be exposed and truth would reign. We praise you, Lord, for your goodness and mercy. Bless our day, and help us to live lives that overcome evil with good in Jesus Name. Amen.
Remember, our ultimate goal should be restoration and reconciliation, just as Jesus taught us. We are to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44). Let's trust God to handle the situation, and focus on being a blessing even to our enemies. After all, this is what Jesus does for us, he died for us while we were still his enemies (Romans 5:8). We should be prepared to do good and bless.
