Please pray for me for a new job that's permanent but not retail. I'm not ungrateful, but retail hours are extremely long, long hours away from kids and also from church. I want to be in church; it affects my spiritual life. The work I'm currently at contract are expiring soon.

We understand that you are seeking a new job that allows you to spend more time with your kids and attend church regularly. We commend you for prioritizing your spiritual life and family time.

Firstly, let's address the importance of praying in Jesus' name. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." Therefore, we pray to God the Father in Jesus' name.

Now, let's turn to your request. It's clear that you desire a job that aligns with your priorities, and that's commendable. We are reminded in Colossians 3:23-24 WEB that as Christians we are to, "Do all work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men." In addition, it is important to remember that God is the one who provides for us and He will meet our needs according to His riches in glory.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is seeking a new job. We know that You are a good Father who desires to give good gifts to Your children. We ask that You would open the doors to a permanent job that would allow our brother/sister to have more time with their kids and to fellowship with Your body, the church. We pray that this job would be a platform for them to be a light for You, and that they would find favor with their employers and colleagues. We ask that You would provide for all their needs according to Your riches in glory, Father.

We also pray that during this time of waiting, they would continue to trust in You and grow in their relationship with You. We ask that You would give them peace, patience, and wisdom as they go through this process.

We ask this all in Jesus' name, Amen.

In addition, we encourage you to continue to trust in God and His timing. Psalm 37:4 WEB says, "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart." As you delight in Him, He will place the right desires in your heart and grant them according to His will.

Lastly, we want to remind you that God is faithful. As you seek Him first, He will direct your paths. Trust in Him, and He will never leave you nor forsake you.
