We understand that you're going through a difficult time, feeling distant from God and experiencing a spiritual dry spell. We want to encourage you and stand with you in prayer.
Firstly, it's important to remember that God never leaves us nor forsakes us. As it is written in Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB, Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for Yahweh your God goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you. Even when we feel distant from Him, He is always there.
In times of spiritual dryness, it's crucial to keep pressing into God's presence. Like the persistent widow in Luke 18:1-8, we should keep praying and not lose heart. Sometimes, God uses these dry seasons to draw us closer to Him, to deepen our roots, and to help us grow spiritually. As it is written in James 1:2-4 WEB Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its full work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
However, we must also examine ourselves to ensure there's no unrepentant sin or unforgiveness blocking our fellowship with God. Psalm 66:18 WEB If I cherished sin in my heart, the Lord wouldn’t have listened. You've mentioned you've confessed all known sin, which is great. Keep your heart open and sensitive to the Holy Spirit's conviction.
We must seek God with all our heart. Jeremiah 29:13 WEB You will seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart.
Remember, it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we can approach God. John 14:6 WEB Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our fellow believer who feels distant from You. Lord, we ask that You reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way, that You break through the dryness they're experiencing. Help them to feel connected to You. Give them the strength to keep pressing in, to keep seeking Your face. We ask that You heal them of any past trauma or drama that may be hindering their relationship with You. We ask that You give them hope. Do not let their heart be hardened. In the name of Jesus Christ, we ask that You grant them a breakthrough, that You fill them with Your Holy Spirit. We ask that You give them a deep hunger and thirst for You. We trust that You are working everything together for their good. In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
Keep holding on to God's promises. He is faithful, and He loves you more than you can imagine. Keep reading His word, keep praying, and keep trusting Him. He will bring you through this.
